Auto-Spike is available with two winder options our Loop Winder is a manual option, offers superior speed at a lower cost, and a Cord Reel option that offers a crank and simple operation.

Shown below is the orange Cord Reel option with the crank for reeling in the cord.

The Crank when extended straight out from center allows for deployment. (PIC 2) The Cord Reel has a hole where it can be folded and locked into place (PIC 3). A major problem with Cord Reels is that the break and cord gets tangled. Several serious incidents have been attributed to Cord Reel failures. Spike Devil is the only heavy duty Cord Reel in the market. Spike Devil offers the only serviceable Cord Reel as shown in picture 4 of the open access port.

The Loop winder is a reel with a strap wrapped around it, once the strap is released, the cord is exposed and the officer can release cord very quickly by various forms. The Cord can spin in your hand to release cord quickly as shown in (PIC1).

Another form is the unique Beveled edge that allows cord to release with zero resistance! (PIC 2) This means you can deploy your system much further, accurate, or not accidently move the system.

To operate the loop winder a simple twist of the wrist positions the winder to dispense cord and twist it back to move the system, or pull the system off the road.

The loop type winder is the fastest winder on the market, it eliminates all the problems of conventional winders. Notice the speed of the loop winder on the left compared to the Stinger Spike system, which uses a stick.
