Trident is a deployment system, designed to work with the Auto-Spike system. The Officer positions the Patrol car, behind cover, and paralell to the roadway, to deploy the system into the lanes. The Trident mounts to the receiver hitch of your patrol car, The winder is unwound and it is used to trigger the Trident and deploy the Auto-Spike onto the far lane. The Cordreel is attached to the Auto-Spike and can be used to adjust the spikes, when target passes over the spikes, the Auto-Spike is pulled off the road with the winder.
Shown above the Patrol car is positioned, the officer has the Trident armed, ready to deploy. The officer and patrol car are behind cover, and ready to deploy the Auto-Spike. Normal Traffic passes by the deployment site.
The Officer spots the target and its closely following traffic. The officer can deploy as the last car passes. The system deploys quickly, and the officer can adjust the system, then retrive it from the traffic lanes. Auto-Spike´s frame is designed to collapse and pulls from traffic, effectively and safely.
